Daidra Carsman was destined for a creative life. The daughter of very artistic parents, she knew at an early age that her life would somehow involve the arts. Her earlier years were spent living in Spanish Harlem, NYC - where she experienced the melting of many cultures which continue to influence her to this day.

Daidra's father, Jon Carsman, was a NYC artist who is credited with starting New Realism in the 80s. His vast influence can still be seen today, as his work is part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. From him, Daidra learned to play with and arrange color— something she continues to do with her own creativity.

After completing her art studies at Montclair State University, Daidra decided to make her passion for jewelry her life's work. Originally self taught in her techniques, she continues to take classes in an effort to continuously reinvent herself.

Daidra travels around the entire east coast area doing fine art shows. Her work can also be found in select boutiques and fine jewelry stores.
