This wood replacement opal stopped me in my tracks. Its soft lavender color is scattered with warm bits of wood and a bit of blue, giving the round stone a pattern that feels like a little world of its own.
I set the opal in layers of textured fine silver and attached it to a bold sterling silver link chain. The sterling clasp is one I designed many years ago, and it feels especially right on this bracelet. I oxidized and brushed the entire piece to bring out the texture from end to end.
The bracelet is very substantial weighing .75 oz
The opal measures approximately 15 mm across and 22 mm in its setting. The bracelet currently measures 8.5 inches long, but I can easily shorten it for you.
