Another little camera-shy opal! 💚
This delicious little heart has an amazing play of color that, unfortunately, my camera only managed to capture in green.
In person, this translucent opal comes alive with bits of green, purple, and, from certain directions, an unexpected streak of red. The entire stone is beautifully translucent, with little bits of its natural earth still visible along the bottom, adding to its character and one-of-a-kind feel.
I set this sweet heart in fine and sterling silver and accented it with a single 10k gold dot. The entire piece has been oxidized and brushed to give it a lovely, softly rustic patina that lets the colors of the opal take center stage.
The opal in its setting measures approximately 16mm x 17mm and is attached to a sterling silver paperclip chain measuring a smidge over 18 inches.
