A Little Window Into Nature | Dendritic Agate Necklace
A beautiful and unusual dendritic agate with a smoky, translucent center surrounded by a soft, icy blue-white border filled with delicate black, fern-like inclusions. The natural markings look almost like a miniature landscape, with tiny branches growing around a mysterious window.
Dendritic agate gets its intricate patterns from naturally occurring mineral inclusions, often iron or manganese oxides, which create those wonderful little tree-like formations.
I set this beauty in silver and added two playful silver dots along the edge for a little extra personality. I intentionally left the back of the setting open, allowing light to shine through the translucent stone and reveal its beautiful natural depth and intricate inclusions.
The pendant measures approximately 32 mm × 26 mm, excluding the silver dots, and hangs from a sterling silver paper clip chain measuring 17.5 inches long.
