These unusual striated pipe opals have the most incredible shared bull’s-eye pattern, making them feel like two little pieces of the same extraordinary story. The inner “eye” has a beautiful purple hue, with striations of green and yellow radiating outward toward the ends of each stone.
I set them in fine and sterling silver and added a single 18k gold dot at the bottom of each setting for just a touch of warmth. The earrings measure approximately 35mm long in their settings and hang from handmade ear wires, with a total drop of approximately 52mm.
They’ve been lightly oxidized and brushed by hand for a rich, rustic patina that beautifully enhances the colors of these one-of-a-kind opals.
